MUSÉE DE LA CÉRAMIQUE  (Rouen, France)
The Museum, housed in a remodeled 17th century mansion, has a fine collection of local faience with some Delft ware, Italian majolica, Chinese porcelain, etc., plus some 100 pieces of 19th- and 20th-century Sèvres. Some pieces are shown online.

Musée national Adrien Dubouché  (Limoges, France)
Read the history or see glassware and pottery, especially porcelain from the world's 'richest collection of Limoges'. Services include a resource centre and library (by appointment), guided tours, lectures etc., plus painting classes. For a 'full iconography' of the collections see the Agence photographique site.

Museen der Stadt Bamberg  (Bamberg, Germany)
Visit the Museum to see the Ludwig Collection, an exhibit of about 300 works of art, mainly Meissen porcelain and Strasbourg faience. On permanent loan from the Peter and Irene Ludwig Foundation, it is housed in the Altes Rathaus (Old Town Hall).

Museo Correale di Terranova  (Sorrento, Italy)
This museum, owned by the Correale family, has been described as the most beautiful provincial museum in Italy. Situated in a patrician villa overlooking the Gulf of Naples, it houses a specialist library and collections such as Neapolitan paintings, ceramics and Murano glassware, displayed against fine tables and furnishings.
The porcelain collection includes a large sampling of rare items from early European manufactories: Meissen, Sèvres, Bow, Wien, Doccia and especially Capodimonte. Check for visiting hours.

Access brief details about the Museum, whose collection comprises mainly table porcelain used by the Grand Ducal and Royal Houses of the Medici, Lorraine and Savoy. The earliest pieces are Meissen; others include Docci, Capodimonte, Berlino, Worcester, Meissen, Nymphenburg, Vienna and Chantilly, and the famous Sèvres dinner-set presented by Napoleon to the Duchess of Lucca.
The Museum is located in the Palazzina del Cavaliere, an 18th century lodge at the top of the Boboli Gardens. The latter are famous for their fountains and grottoes.

MUSEO DI DOCCIA  (Sesto Fiorentino, Italy)
The Museo Richard-Ginori della Manifattura di Doccia features Ginori ware up to the 1960s. It exhibits 1000s of objects, and has extensive archives. It also holds guided tours, lectures, china painting courses, etc. Next to the Museum is the Richard-Ginori factory outlet 'La botteguccia Ginori.'
