Virtual Museum of Canada  
Click on "Community Memories" and search on "Hagen" to find information about china painter and pioneer studio potter Alice Egan Hagen. Images of her china and pottery, studies and notebooks, come mainly from works in the Mount Saint Vincent University Art Gallery. (Note also the study tray by Adelaide Alsop Robineau.) Alice contributed to the 1897 Canadian Historical Dinner Service; the Governor General's Residence in Ottawa also holds one of her tea-sets. Known as Alice Egan before her marriage, she later signed herself Alice M. Hagen and is referred to Alice Hagen.
This site also displays several historical images of artist and china painter Phoebe Watson.

Vista Alegre rates among the world's largest tableware manufacturers but also produces handcrafted special editions, commemoratives and collectors' pieces, some with techniques such as acid-etching and 'gold incrustation'. They also offer wedding lists; personalised wares; a replacement service; a limited-edition magazine and collectors' club; and a Factory store with discontinued lines and seconds. The latter also feature in July holiday sales.
Browse online for company details, distributor lists, and tips on product care and table protocol; or visit in person for guided tours of the complex, porcelain factory, manual painting workshop and museum. The museum documents factory history and displays a comprehensive ceramic and glass collection.

Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art  (Hartford, Connecticut, United States)
'America's oldest public art museum' includes a European Decorative Arts collection of about 7,000 objects. The large ceramics section includes Chinese wares; Italian maiolica; Berlin art nouveau porcelain; and English, Meissen, Vincennes and Sèvres porcelain. There is also a room of veilleuses (nightlight teapots), plus the Koopman Collection of Dutch Delft.

WAGNER  (Wagner Arte frumoase si povesti. Bucharest, Romania)
Wagner Porcelain & Jewellery is the official name of this family business outside Romania. Their studio produces hand-painted tableware, jewelry and furniture with porcelain inlays. They also accept commissions, make limited editions (with decals) and hold some painting classes.
The showroom displays Ana Wagner's artworks, some of which (such as fantasy landscapes or vegetation) are then applied to porcelain; Villeroy & Boch whiteware may be used. Collaborating artists sometimes also display in the showroom.

Wagner & Apel GmbH  (Lippelsdorf, Germany)
This small family company, associated with the Wagner family since 1883, produces hand-made and -painted wares ranging from gift items to modern vessels, and especially figurines of animals and children based on drawings by Hilla Peyk.
The old workshops and porcelain manufactory, refitted and restored, now house a museum. Visit for free, take a guided tour or buy at the factory shop.
